I realized over a year ago that we needed a new representative for Riley County District 2.  After I retired at the end of February this year, I began my campaign.

For the last 14 years, I have lived in Riley and previously l lived in Manhattan for 19 years.  I was appointed to fill a term on the City Council in 2010 and have been reelected to two terms.  For the last 6 years, I have been President of the Council. 

On the council, we worked with Clay County Medical Center to locate a facility in Riley.  The new 4,400 square foot health facility is under construction and is located just west of the Dollar General.  Riley Family Physicians will open in the fall of 2020 to serve the health care needs of north Riley County.

My wife and I will celebrate our 45th anniversary in August this year.  I have 4 kids and 7 grandkids.  I have long ties to Riley County.  My mother was born here when her dad was finishing his Civil Engineering degree at Kansas State. I grew up in Topeka and came to Manhattan to attend Kansas State. 

I have worked as an estimator and project manager for commercial contractors for over 35 years.  Managing small and multimillion-dollar projects I coordinated with owners, subcontractors, and suppliers to successfully complete projects.
